Kids Sewing Classes

Saturdays: 10AM - 11AM

Sewing Classes tailored specifically for kids. These classes can help children develop:

• Creativity

• Fine Motor Skills

• A Sense of Accomplishment

• Educational Experience

• Introduction to Sewing Machines

• Basic Hand Sewing Technique

• Hand Sewing Skills

• Fun Projects, Toys, Clothing Bags, etc.

For children aged 8 and up

Classes are 6 week sessions

Beginner -Advanced Classes

Tuesdays:

5PM - 6PM (1 hour)

5PM - 7PM (2 hours)

Learn basic sewing skills:

How to use the domestic or industrial sewing machines

• Seam Finishing, Hand Sewing

• Clothing Construction

• Pockets, Zippers, Facing

• Waist Band, Darts

• Sewing Lace, Using Elastic

• Hem Finishing, Making Spaghetti Straps

Final Goal: To Complete a Skirt, Dress, Top or Pants

Intermediate:

• Learn About Choosing Suitable Fabric for All Types of Garments

• How to use a Commercial Pattern

Advanced:

• Design and Make Your Own Clothing or Home Decor

• Introduction to Pattern Drafting

• Work on Your Own Project Under Supervision

(two hours recommended for adults)
